I am so excited to have all my students back in the classroom for the 2021-2022 school year! Last year, my class and I kicked off our literature unit with a class novel study of Restart! They were hooked from the very first chapter, so I thought it would be a great way to jump-start this new school year!
What I love about Restart by Gordon Korman, is that it offers the students the opportunity to see the main character's struggle and evolution from the perspective of several friends and "enemies" in his life. Students find this novel highly engaging and are always asking for "just one more chapter."
I'll be using this book as an interactive read aloud and mentor text for my fiction unit. This book is great for both in person and distance learning.
