The students want to learn, but they face many challenges. One of those challenges that is easy to overcome is having the right seating.
You can support students learning by providing flexible seating options guaranteed to help them focus. Kids need movement, especially now. COVID-19 precautions prevent students from being able to move around the classroom.
They also have almost all the resources they need at their fingerprints thanks to the Chromebooks the school provides, but this also means they have less reasons to be out of their seats.
So, if kids are going to be sitting in seats a majority of their day, of course we should make it comfortable. But comfort isn't the only benefit. Flexible seating also minimizes behavioral disruptions because students are quietly expelling their energy and are less prone to wonder around the classroom distracting peers.
