These books will help me enhance my social and emotional lessons with my class. Some of the topics that I will be able to cover are friendship, grief, emotions, sharing, empathy, and being truthful. I would like to spend each morning with my class taking time to grow as a classroom community. The books will open up doors to fabulous interactive conversations. Kids will learn these important skills and use them for a lifetime. These skills will be helpful in and out of the classroom. Spending time on students' emotional needs is essential to teaching.
