To offer an alternative entertainment to cell phones, and to inspire the love and enjoyment of words and critical thinking through games, help me build a library of the classics in my English classroom. From Scrabble to Scattergories to Boggle, these games will engage young people in learning when they’ll just think they’re simply having fun! On the “skinny Monday” or after completing an assessment, students will have gaming stations and rotate through to strengthen their literacy muscles, as well as connect with classmates through community building and play.
