Young students are visual and tactile learners. These art supplies will really help them with learning their letters and numbers. In my classroom, students are given choice during center time and can utilize art supplies to work on their letters and sight words. For example, they can use pipe stems to form their letters at one station, while using paint at another.
Brain based research shows that students retain information better when they are learning through art. My students will benefit immensely from using these art materials in our classroom.
