My students are, for the most part, from moderate income families with two working parents. They come from diverse backgrounds, yet have come together as a class well. They come to school each and every day excited and eager to learn. Their day consists of rigorous reading skill lessons and writers workshop, along with math and science. Social studies is generally incorporated within. These bright children work independently, as well as, in cooperative groups on a daily basis. They benefit and thrive on challenges.
