I teach in a special education resource room with 35 students, mostly first and second graders. Despite having breakfast and lunch at school, they are always hungry. I have selected some snacks on this project that would be popular with the students as well as provide some nutritional value. I would like to have a well-stocked snack cabinet for whenever a student needs a snack. I myself am always hungry by mid-morning. It is very hard to concentrate when you are hungry. That is when more behavior issues occur. With this project, I hope to impact their learning as well as their behavior in a positive way.
