The steel pan instruments I have requested will allow my students to perform in a new and safe way in their school and community by playing island music from Trinidad and Tobago. Learning on an instrument from another part of the world can teach you to appreciate diverse styles and cultures. These instruments will allow my students to learn music in whole new way, and allow them to perform creative music at their school and community by the sea. Students are returning to school unable to perform in their traditional musical ways due to restrictions and guidelines from COVID-19. These instruments are challenging, fun, and allow for a brand new musical experience.
