STEM learning is challenging and fun. My students would love these engineering kits, building construction sets, and critical thinking resources to use while challenging each other. These resources will be used to create STEM Bins and a Makerspace within my classroom for the students to use. It is so much fun to watch my students learn through collaborative challenges. Each building set will have various challenge cards which offers numerous challenge scenarios. It has been a different year with the pandemic, and the students have been online learners until this semester. That is why I feel creating the makerspace and the STEM bins will allow them to collaborate throughout the day.
I want to offer the students creative ways to work together towards a common goal and foster educational socialization. The students glow when they are working together to solve problems presented to them. I am a math and science teacher so we incorporate STEM in many of our lessons. One of my students favorite units in science is the bridge building unit. They have to design, construct, and test bridges made with various materials. It is something they talk about all year. These STEM bins can be used to construct bridges and many other tasks throughout our math and science units. My class would appreciate any support towards our love of learning and creative fun. Thank you!
