I am requesting chairs with appropriate height to support my students fine motor skills development. Students in Preschool work daily on developing their fine motor skills. They engage in painting, cutting, writing, drawing, lacing, opening containers, gluing, etc. The height of the chair plays a vital component to the success of these skills. Children鈥檚 feet should be able to touch the floor when they sit back in the chairs so that they can have more control of the tools they use and tasks they work on. Students in preschool learn to be more independent when attempting eating. They must seat on a chair that allows them to reach the floor to handle the eating utensils successfully, to open milk and juice cartons and to open containers independently.
