These books were selected by my students as what they would "love to have in our classroom library". With help of Donors Choose, I will be building our class library to encourage independent readers. At an early age students develop a passion for reading and connect with certain characters in books they read. Books of all genres have a positive impact on readers. Students take pride in having their own selection of books in their book bins at their desks. Each week students choose books from the class library and have them ready to access at their desks. This selection of books will give independent readers in my class a choice to select books they want and love and read.
