All of our students are important and deserve equal opportunities for quality education. Unfortunately, there are some who require more individualized instruction based not on their grade level but ability/development levels. Then imagine that same student with a differentiated skill set in reading, writing, math, science, daily living skills, speech, occupational and physical therapies. Take it a step further and multiply all of that by 10+ students and you have my classroom! Each student have individualized goals and it is my pleasure and duty to meet each and every one of those needs. This is not easy. Also take into effect that my one student can turn into three or more at any given moment. My students will use the equipment in the classroom to help with attention disorders, fidgeting and focus. The items will also be used to differentiate instruction and meet my students at their current development levels. I have the patience and passion to support and teach my special needs' students. I believe that all students can learn; especially, once you figure out what learning style works for them. A disability doesn't mean they can't learn; it just means they learn differently. My students are unique, loved, awesome, different, creative, smart, beautiful and have a heart and desire to learn. I would appreciate your support to help them reach their academic goals and dreams! I'm not teaching them to learn, I'm teaching them to be life-long learners!
