These culturally diverse picture and chapter books will be used in the library for discussion during read-alouds as well as for book check out. Children want to see themselves reflected in books, as well as read about other diverse characters. I'd love to see my students return to the school library in person next school year and find more books that reflect the range of cultures and races at our school have been added to the collection. They will see them on display in the library and know they are available to check out.
