In order to be successful in creating music, having the right equipment is key. In my district, we provide instruments for many students who could not otherwise afford to be in band. Unfortunately, due to the economic impact of Covid-19, we have had to provide far more instruments than usual. This means some of my students are playing on very old instruments that are in a constant state of disrepair. This project would provide flutes to my students so they can experience the joy of being in band without having to deal with inadequate equipment.
