These level readers will provide all students the opportunity to read independently and gain self-confidence in their academic abilities. These books will be placed in a bin by level. Students will know their level and will choose books from that bin and read them independently. Students will also buddy read.
With leveled readers, all students will be able to experience the joy that comes from being able to read a book independently. Once gaining this independence, students may check books out to take home and read to an adult, which will increase fluency and speaking skills.
