These literacy materials will allow students to seek out information, explore subjects in-depth and gain a deeper understanding of the things that we are working on in class. I’m trying to create an effective literacy center that allow for students choice, have explicit and ongoing routines. The centers will promote student collaboration, facilitate students motivation, and provide targeted practice for students. This will provide time for me as the teacher to spend time with students individually or in small group, helping students learn curriculum materials in their own way and style.
