We are incorporating themes into our dramatic play this year. When we learn about community helpers and careers, we'll be able to actually put our learning into action!
We can go shopping at the 'grocery store' and then come home and pretend to cook and serve dinner. We can pretend to care for animals or even to build a house!
Pretend play helps develop a variety of life skills. From taking turns and cooperating, to problem solving through collaboration, children learn the value of working together. More importantly, they develop a vision of becoming anything they want to in life.
