The first thing that my students tell me is that they can’t read. I would like to provide them with quality books that start at their level and progressively move them to the next level. These leveled readers will give my students the opportunity to participate in a guided reading lesson, with their own copy of the book. This is will them a chance to look at a leveled text on their level and discuss it. By doing guided reading, I not only meet the students where they are but it allows me to take them further with reading.
