My students struggle with appropriate sensory and emotional regulation. Creating an environment that gives them options for how they receive that appropriate regulation. They are very fidgety and like to move around in order to focus.
Having the opportunity to choose a seating that provides focus and sensory regulation would be a game-changer in behaviors! My classroom currently only has traditional desks and chairs which is not effective with my students.
Flexible seating also provides the opportunity for choice and control, something most of my students don't have in their lives.
