Students enter the school where they spend the majority of their day. This is the opportunity to allow them to come within inches of seeing an ecosystem in its full spectrum. Students will be given the experience of maintaining a healthy ecosystem.
Aquariums are not just an excellent tool to have to teach science, but also a behavioral tool to promote calmness and relaxation for students.
The fish tanks will be set up in the room where the students can come in contact regularly through the course of the day/class. This will allow them to interact with the setup.
Choosing a twenty-gallon tank gives the opportunity to have a variety of life in the tank. Students can use the testing kit to learn about cycling a tank. Students can learn about the variety of fish and what it takes for the ecosystem to thrive. Starting from scratch with the net, kit, and decorations is to give the aquarium the best start.
