I teach in a low income, Title 1 school. This means most of my students do not have a lot of access to at-home reading materials. Scholastic News has been very beneficial in the past for student success in science and social studies. It is fun, engaging, and the students can’t wait to read one every week. This program covers so many intricate parts of my curriculum and helps me integrate it throughout the whole school day. This year we received funding cuts so I am not able to purchase these on my own. Any donation would be greatly appreciated!
