I will be a first year teacher in August 2021 and due to this, I am building my classroom from scratch. I have been lucky enough to meet my future fourth graders and learn a little more about them! I want to ensure my classroom library reflects the race, ethnicity, and cultures of the students in my classroom. The books on my wish list will enable my classroom to reflect my students and assist us as we build a community that is accepting, curious, empowered, and inclusive. I also included a gift card for TeachersPayTeachers in order to provide phonics and reading intervention activities for my students. The majority of my students are below grade level with reading, and I want to ensure I have the materials I need to support them.
