My students are ready to explore more aventures in outdoor activities, planting their favorite flowers, and insect hunting in the playground. They enjoy drawing and writing about their favorite outdoor learning experiences. We recently planted a few vegetables and flowers, a project they had so much fun doing. We encouraged parents to continue this project at home by planting a seed in their own garden. This is an activity for a parent/s and child to do together then share this activity with the rest of the class by bringing it to school and planting it in our beautiful garden. The goal is to not only for children to learn about nature and the importance of our environment but also to engaged parents, teachers, and other children.
