Math students select a design then write specific equations to graph each line of their design restricting the domain and range. The rubric requires the use of linear graphs, absolute value graphs, parabolas, cubics, exponential graphs, circles, ellipses, hyperbolas, sin(x), and cos(x) graphs. Students use graphing calculators for this project to develop and test their graphs then transfer the graphs to Desmos on a school Chromebook or outdated school tablet. Incentives will be offered each week during table warm-ups and the winner can log into their project on this new mini classroom tablet and use it for one week at a time. It will be the Golden Nugget in the classroom.
