I wish to provide my students the ability to develop their reading skills and motivation with high-interest materials. Reading and comprehension is a challenging skill for many students, yet is the foundation for all areas of learning.
I am a first year, special education teacher, starting a new Autism Specific class. I have few of the resources necessary to engage my students in a rigorous reading and comprehension program.
Growing their reading skills enables them to develop a love for reading and increases their success and independence, the ultimate goal for all students.
