In addition to the school-wide implementation of a Social and Emotional curriculum inspired by the "A Little SPOT Of" book series, we will provide hands-on creative learning experiences for all students in our building. Help us help our students find their SPOT in the world! With our monthly whole classroom character lessons comes a closing activity - that’s where you and these supplies come in! Rather than having to use worksheets that do not really allow room for individuality and uniqueness in expressing what they’ve learned, these supplies, like craft sticks, crayons, paint, and other materials will be used to create fun and hands-on activities such as paintings, birdhouses, and so much more! With over 500 students, the majority of whom are low-income, we can utilize these materials to emphasize different life skills such as kindness, respect, responsibility, and diversity while allowing students to express themselves artistically as well!
