School Social Workers support students to be physically, emotionally and mentally ready to learn. Our primary role is to reduce barriers to learning. Often times, hygiene and hunger significantly impacts a child's ability to learn. Many of my middle school students are growing and experiencing physical changes which require extra attention and products. I would like to have these resources available to them. These products will also go into hygiene kits to support my families who are experiencing homelessness.
These materials will support my students to remove this barrier and encourage positive engagement in the classroom.
