These books will help our students engage in a discussion about the complexity of life and overcoming barriers to success. Every book will literally help our young people explore the ups and downs of life and learn strategies to help them succeed. Coupled with mentoring, the young people will be afforded an opportunity to transport themselves back in history through a book. That history will help inform their present life and help them determine what they desire and can accomplish in the future. With these new books, my students will be able to engage in a reading journey that will help them become responsible students and citizens of the world. Education is truly the passport to the future. Engaging students in a group mentoring program that promotes reading and personal development will ensure that this project was worth supporting. This project will help enrich the lives of young people at my school.
