After being home for a whole year, these first graders are ready to be in person, to play, make friends, learn to read, count sing and explore. As a first year teacher, I’m ready to make this new experience one to remember. I’ve got the energy, the resources and the plans to create a classroom where they are involved and accepted as part of a community and excited to come back each and every day. They deserve to start each day as part of our morning meeting on a large comfortable carpet where all are welcome.
