All music students need to be able to read the music they are practicing and playing. Music stands are necessary, so that they can easily see the music in front of them without having to look down (which is bad for posture, as well as being uncomfortable or even painful). Rosin is essential to playing a string instrument, as without it the bow will not even make a sound on the string. Every student needs to be able to rosin their bow once or twice a week to make a proper sound on their instrument.
These are just a couple basic items that are crucial for Orchestra students' learning and progress. By having them, students can feel more confident to be able to read the music, as well as to create beautiful sound.
