Students will have individual books of their choosing to take home for the summer. They will also have a packet with comprehension activities to complete. The activities and assignments are individualized and differentiated for each student’s reading level and abilities. They will be provided with explicit instructions and exam. This will allow students to work independently, to be self reliant and take ownership of their learning rather than depend on their families to help them. Students will also have access to an online forum to chat with their classmates and collaborate.
