Students spend much of their day in classrooms. Like home environments, children need conducive classroom environments. With the purchase of a new classroom rug, my students would have a cozy comfortable place to sit to work alone or with their peers. The rug will also add a splash or color to make our room more colorful and inviting. The storage unit will allow them access to their materials and supplies while keeping them neat and organized. Moreover, the presentation cart will help to save valuable classroom space and allow me the flexibility to move around as I teach to keep my students engaged.
Classroom physical environment affects morale and student learning. It provides the opportunity for students to help create an inviting environment that supports positive interaction. And it empowers students in the process. Since my students spend a good part of their days they should feel more like a warm home.
