Make a donation Ms. Wells can use on her next classroom project.
Your donation will allow me to create a student-friendly learning environment that promotes choice and immersive engagement. For the past 15 months, students' learning has been restricted to remote &/or socially distanced environments which, while necessary for everyone's safety, has been detrimental in their academic and psychological development. This project is designed to get the materials necessary to build a classroom that supplements a rigorous curriculum and provides hands-on learning experiences in a safe and comfortable space similar to home.
The rolling backpack cart will free up the space needed for flexible learning while the seat cushions and chairs will provide a comfortable alternative to kiddos who prefer less traditional classroom seating. The word building letter tiles, phonics and language game sets, math skills boards and primary journals will be beneficial in helping to support budding EL learners, readers, writers and mathematicians in building strong work attack skills, deepen their understanding of math reasoning and well as strengthen fine motor skills. Each item requested will ultimately allow my students the freedom to take ownership of their learning and participate in community based learning.
