Many of our students are on electronics and devices often. They also don't have the financial means for many toys at home. In the classroom, we use toys and games during indoor recess when the weather is not good enough to play outside. We also use them on Friday afternoons as incentives for good behavior.
By using items in the classroom to play with and build, students will learn interactive social skills with others through play and imagination. They will learn to take turns and sharing by playing games. They will learn to think creatively with toys.
