This year will be the first time that many students will return to school in person after a year and a half of at-home learning. While we are returning back to school in person, my students and I will have to remain conscious of sharing materials. I want this year to be engaging and energizing for students. I want to focus on reading, allowing students to read with flashlights, work on phonics in small groups with the table circles, and practice spelling with stamps and kinetic sand.
As we return to all in-person learning, students will need time to adjust to being back in the school setting. I plan to use the fidgets to help students re-acclimate to the school setting. I will use the desk pets as an incentive for students that are doing their personal best.
