These books and supplies will help foster reading among my students from various backgrounds. It is important for my students to feel safe and comfortable so they can prosper and grow in today's world. Currently, at my school, we focus on culture and identity throughout many of our units. Teaching in a diverse school allows us to read and have conversations about important issues and ideas. These books will directly contribute towards that. My wonderful students currently look forward to reading every day and I want to nurture that love!
