I have asked for an ABC rug and magnetic building materials for my Kindergarten classroom.
Can you imagine--asking a student to sit on letter "B" and they look at the classroom ABC rug and can find the letter "B"? Kindergarten is all about letter mastery. Students need mutiple exposure to letters in order to remember them. An ABC to Z rug gives them numerous oportunites a day to see and start to build their repertoire of letters.
Building with magnetic toys is a secret obsession I share with my students. They absolutely love to create and learn using magnets. Creating toys, letters, shapes, abstract, the sky is the limit!
