My students are visual and hands-on learners and are most engaged when they can manipulate material or visually see the activity. A light table provides both; it is visually appealing and can be manipulated with the materials for the activities. The lighted surface can bring forth initiative and curiosity in learning, which is the goal when teaching little learners.
I will utilize the light table during choice time as well as small group activities. We would cover math concepts, stem, language and development and more. The light table is a way to provoke thought and I look forward to what it can offer my students.
