When most students enter a classroom they see walls that are filled with inspiring historical figures and motivational quotes. My current physical education space is surrounded by a plain black gate, so when students enter our space it does not feel warm, inviting, or inspirational. I feel that if I can put up posters of athletes and motivational quotes, it could change this narrative greatly. The plan is to use the athlete posters to create a positive growth mindset by allowing them to identify with the struggles athletes have faced through adversity and triumphs. We would use the motivational quotes as a quote of the day and to use the quote to create a discussion of how it could be used to drive positive motivation in their daily life.
