I am requesting flexible seating and hands-on activities to keep my students engaged and on task as they readjust to being in person, in a classroom five full days a week!
Many of my students haven't been in-person in school since March of 2019! It's a big adjustment getting used to the rules, expectations, and re-learning appropriate behaviors. I am looking for floor mats and "surf" desks so that my students are able to more comfortably sit and complete classwork. The bounce bands will help us to more effectively channel wiggly feet without moving chairs and desks and making noise. I plan to use the games, pop-its, fidget toys, and Play-Doh in order to build hands-on, engaging activities for my students to keep them engaged and active in our learning.
