My kinder students coming into the new school year deserve a fresh start with better resources in class and school supplies that that can use. My goal is to have enough books for them to be able to have at least 5 books a piece. This will allow them to switch out from the classroom library freely without the wait. Another resource that is important to learning are the materials used in our learning stations. Learning stations are important in the classroom because it is supplemental learning, and it allows the students to work on skills previously learned. Students will get a chance to work on the skills while supporting each other in the learning stations.
I would like to provide my students with a brand-new rug, so that they do not have to worry about sitting on a tile floor that can be very cold at times and uncomfortable. This can sometimes be a distraction for them during whole group lessons.
Lastly, I would like to provide all my students with their very own set of supplies for the school year. The pandemic had a damaging effect on some of my parents' finances. Purchasing supplies for all their children can be hard, especially when they have more than one child in their household.
