My students have fallen in love with Pete the Cat and other fun reading activities and have also being trying to exercise for their gym class online. The problem is that they don't have a lot of access to reading materials or exercise equipment at home since so many of them come from less advantaged homes and so many libraries are closed. It is important for remote students to have access to books, in the same way the in person students do and for them to exercise as well.
These Summer Fun Books and Pete the Cat Books books will allow me to give each of my students a copy of the same books as I teach them remotely and the jump ropes will allow them to exercise with me from their homes in these last months of the year.
My students love when I read them books digitally but really need to have books in their hands to learn and have expressed that they want books like the ones I use. I will be able to do guided reading and shared reading using these books as I teach remotely to children learning remotely from home. As they learn remotely and I teach remotely it's hard unless I can give them each a copy of the same books. They also need movement breaks so that they can keep their bodies healthy from home. Please help me give the gift of reading, health, and learning to my students and support their remote learning of reading and exercise.
