I want to give children the ability to have a book of their own. Many of my students are refugees and are learning English as a Second Language. I would like for these children to be able to have books that are readily available. These books may also encourage there family members to read the English language.
Many of my students are from lower income households and books aren't as important as eating or a roof over their heads. I would like for the children to form a love of reading hoping for the chance they will go on to higher education and better paying jobs.
