A POSITIVE approach to student behavior is important. Students have a variety of needs and situations that are sometimes unknown. Unfortunately, this can disrupt a students behavior and performance in school. To address the various behavioral needs of our students it is imperative to provide breaks, help them reflect on their moments and offer a positive reinforcement. Creating a special space for them is something every school needs.
By donating to our project, you will not only help with creating a positive, safe space but it will also improve student behavior and focus that will ultimately help increase their academic achievement.
The products that I have selected will help my students in various ways. Creating a safe space of reflection with altered light filters sets the stage for a tranquil environment. Having positive posters, sensory items and books situated throughout the room will help with reflection, relaxation and positive reinforcement.
