I am asking for a rug where all of our whole group lessons and read alouds will happen. Math, science, social studies, reading, writing, word study and phonics will all be taught with the students sitting on this rug. It really will be a daily meeting place central to students receiving content instruction.
I am most excited that this rug has defined spaces for each student, so they can feel like a piece belongs to them. My students are first-graders and they really love boundaries that they can rely on. This rug will help my students feel like they have a place just for them during whole group lessons. There will be no guess work for the many times they come to meet on the carpet.
Thank you for considering donating to my wonderful students!
