What I am asking for is to help teach my students that if you have a clean body you will feel good about yourself. Some students are not getting taught hygiene at home, so I am hoping this will promote healthy bodies and minds. Our students are bullied daily by their hygiene. I feel if their hygiene is up to part, then academics will improve and those negative distractions will lessen. We don't have classes to teach about hygiene anymore so, maybe this care packet will transfer to their home life. Our students come from neighborhoods where they have to fend for themselves, take care of siblings, don't have enough to eat, and parents who are not aware or involved in their lives. They will never admit to things that they do not have, but as teachers you can observe the issues. So, I am hoping this project for soap, deodorant, moisturizer, and toothbrushes will get funded because our students are in dire need.
