Each week a student will be able to bring home their very own Bronc Bag. Inside the family connection bag will be information for parents to make their family healthy and loving. Each book will have a carefully selected book for the family to read together. Lastly, there will be either a game or activity for the family to complete together.
The ideas for each week come from my extensive training with trauma informed care and the ARC blocks(Attachment, regulation, and competency) framework. Families will be able to learn about teaching their child resiliency, read a book about building resiliency through making a mistake, and then play a game to practice this life-skill. Another week, parents will learn how to make meaningful rituals. Then they will hang a heart outside their child's door to tell them how much they love them. Finally they will develop a special family handshake.
