A classroom rug is a important place in a classroom. This project will provide students with a comfortable and welcoming spot for students to learn together as a community. The classroom rug is a place of learning that brings students together for morning meetings, whole group lessons to help students with focus and hearing, read-alouds, and a place for students to work during independent work during centers.
A classroom rug will bring students together as a learning community to participate in class meetings, partner talks, and lessons. I plan on using the rug as a place for students to feel welcomed and excited to learn with their peers.
