Providing rich, engaging, independent practice in my classroom is of huge importance to me. My students have learning needs, and I teach multiple grades, k-5, at one time. Centers are my lifesaver! Not only do the kids love them, but they are consistent, repetitive in structure, engaging, and a great practice tool for my learners. My kiddos learn by being involved in the learning, hands-on activities, and multiple ways to practice skills they are working on. Centers provide all that. Centers provide learning to continue in my classroom while I work with individuals or small groups. The storage boxes and laminator are needed to help me save time preparing centers for my students. I lose valuable teaching time when I have to sort through a pile of centers to find the right one for my students. Having the Iris boxes will allow me to sort the centers by topic for easy access. In addition, the laminator is a vital part of making sure the centers are usable repeatedly and call centers are kept neat and clean. All these items will benefit the students by providing durable, engaging, organized materials to increase their knowledge. My students love centers!
