Opening up an Ice Cream Shop is a project-based learning experience to give first graders the opportunity to be hands-on and fully involved in the process of planning, researching, and running a dining establishment.
It is a great opportunity for young minds to learn how to start a business that will be profitable and also provide a valuable service and good to the community. Students will learn the science and nutritional value of these foods, get to interact with money in a customer-vendor situation, and work real jobs in the shop like hosting, being a waitress or a busboy.
Having the materials requested will enable us to create an authentic and engaging experience for our students and their families. We want them to revel in the joys and success of seeing their business come to life.
